What are the differences between "Display by
Document", "Display by Table of Contents- Show All",
and "Display by Table of Contents- Hits Only"
The CCH Internet Research NetWork allows you to choose from three different
search results displays. You can easily switch between the different
views once you conduct a search, so you can see which works best for you.
- Display by Document- This option allows you to view a a
combined list of documents from all the different publications and topics
that you searched. The list may be sorted by relevance if you choose.
- Display by Table of Contents-Show All- This option lets you view search
results directly on your Internet Research Library tabs and displays the
number of "hits" that match your search term(s) right next to the
libraries, publications and topics in which they are found. It enables you to
see where your "hits" fall within the publication. You can then go
directly to a document view or drill down to the next
level.
- Display by Table of Contents- Hits Only- This option works the
same as "Display by Table of Contents" except it will hide
all of the publications and topics that do not contain "hits" for
your search term(s). This means that you will not see them on your screen so
they are inaccessible.
