IP Automatic Access Enhancement

IP Automatic Access customers (those who do not use IDs or passwords to log in) will be prompted for their email address before accessing content on any of the CCH research networks. This will allow for a consistent research experience each time they use CCH.

Firms/Companies: Users will only have to enter their email address the first time they log in to CCH, unless their cookies are deleted, or they try accessing CCH from a different computer.

Schools/Libraries: Users will be asked to enter their email address each time they log in to CCH because computers may be shared in the computer lab, library or other public area.

Entering an email address into the system ensures that their preferences will be saved from session to session along with any customization to the “My CCH” tab. Therefore, any search options that are set, such as searching using Boolean connectors or highlighting search terms within the search results, will be retained each time—they won’t have to spend time resetting the preferences during each session. The “My CCH” workspace can also be customized with their User Name, Recent Searches, Favorite Searches, Favorite Publications, and Keep Lists.

If you would like to request that we do not enable this feature for your account or have other questions/comments, please contact CCH Subscription Support Services at 800-344-3734.
